Southern Africa Travel Guide

Humpback whale

Humpbacks have a larger habitat than the southern right. They have huge flippers, often taking up a third of the body length. The species in the southern Africa are larger than those spotted in northern hemipshere. Yet they are considerably lighterr than the southern right, and stockier than Bryde's whales. They can be differentiated from the Southern Right by their dorsal fin and the horizontal spray.
