Zimbabwean dollar (suspended)


After years of hyperinflation, the Zimbabwean dollar was finally suspended in April 2009. Thanks to the legalisation of hard currencies such the South African Rand and British Pound, prices have stabilised and consumer confidence has increased. The new Zimbabwean government has emphasised that the “Zim dollar” will be revived, but only after the economy has strengthened more.
