Southern Africa Travel Guide

Lion

The King of the Jungle is a common sight on safaris in southern Africa. Bare in mind though that they are nocturnal hunters and mostly inactive during very hot summer days. Yet the sight of the King of the Jungle in the wild will leave few people untouched. One of the best spots to watch them is near the Skukuza camp in the Kruger National Park. Fans of the king of the jungle can also visit a shelter for abused and neglected lions in the Drakenstein Lion Park near Paarl. It’s well worth a visit, especially during feeding times.

Thanks so much for organising our excursion. We saw a lot of sharks! One of them was about 4.5 m long... thanks for all.
