Chapman's Peak Drive
Country: South Africa
Region: Cape Peninsula
When it was built in the beginning of the 20th century Chapman's Peak Drive, between Hout Bay and Noordhoek, was considered a marvel of engineering. Today "Chappies" is loved by practically anyone who has ever driven it. The sweeping ocean views are of an unequaled beauty. Please be advised that the toll road is closed frequently due to repairs and once a year for the Cape Argus Cycle tour and Two Oceans Marathon.

Many thanks, trip was great! Saw the big five in the Kruger and swam with whale-sharks. Lots of long days driving but that's the nature of these trips if you want to see loads.
